My best friend Andrea (aka poolhunting on instagram) and I have a lot in common, but one of the best things we share is a love for water and the outdoors. We’re both “water babies” who prefer pool-hopping to air conditioning (last week we visited the famous Texas swimming hole Hamilton Pool for her birthday). We’ve kept a shared pinterest board for years now with an ever-growing collection of beautiful pools, and it turns out that pool design trends are actually pretty fascinating and fun to follow — we went from peanut pools in the 80s to infinity edge pools in the aughts to our new favorite rendition: the plunge pool.
